What makes us different?
Most people hike to La Chorrera by bus or van—but we do it by motorcycle. That means a more scenic, thrilling journey through Colombia’s famous mountain curves. We also keep our groups small for a more personal experience, and instead of eating at the waterfall entrance, we wrap up the day with a proper lunch at La Cocina de V in Choachí—one of our favorite restaurants serving a fresh blend of Colombian and Western dishes.
Check-in begins at 8:45 AM for a full day of riding that typically brings you back to the office just before or after sunset.
We’ll kick off with a ride to the Virgin of Guadalupe, where you’ll get a sweeping view of Bogotá from a mountaintop perch even higher than Monserrate. From there, it’s curve after curve through the Andean highlands toward Cascada La Chorrera, the tallest waterfall in Colombia.
After parking the bikes, we’ll start our hike to the base of the falls—roughly 2 to 3 hours round trip depending on pace. The path winds through forested cliffs, passing the smaller El Chiflón waterfall on the way. Your moto guide will lead the hike and share insights as we go.
Once we’re back on the bikes, we’ll skip the food at the trailhead and ride into the nearby pueblo of Choachí, where we’ll have lunch at La Cocina de V, a local favorite just off the main square. The food here is fresh, creative, and a mix of traditional Colombian and Western dishes—way better than what you’ll get on other tours to La Chorrera.
This tour combines natural beauty, an exhilarating ride, and the personal touches that set us apart: smaller group sizes, full moto gear, knowledgeable guides, and the freedom of exploring on a motorcycle.
