We'll escape Bogotá's chaos and head southwest to Tequendama Falls – a dramatic 132-meter waterfall with jaw-dropping views and a history dark enough to make you appreciate being on the viewing side rather than the jumping side.

By afternoon, we'll reach Villavieja, gateway to the Tatacoa Desert, where we'll wrap the day with cold beers and burgers at a local brewpub because even desert adventurers need proper fuel.
