Think our 1-Day Mountains & Valleys tour is good? This is what happens when we have two full days to show you the Colombia that exists beyond the guidebooks. We're talking Chingaza National Park's otherworldly páramos, what locals call "the land of 1,000 waterfalls," secret overlooks known only to serious riders, and winding mountain passes that make you remember why you love motorcycles.
Why Our Guides Fight Over Who Gets to Lead This One
This is the route that proves why serious adventure riders come to Colombia. Off-road mountain valleys, Chingaza National Park's high-altitude ecosystems, Meta's waterfall paradise, river crossings that'll test your skills, and winding mountain passes that make you remember why you love motorcycles. It's the kind of tour that makes regular riding days seem boring.
Day 1: Into the Paramos
Bogotá → Chingaza → San Juanito • 7 hours of riding • 143km
The perfect introduction to what Colombia's backcountry is really about
We start by escaping Bogotá's chaos and heading straight into the mountains—the original off-road route that shows you why this country is special.
Morning mission: 2-3 hours of off-roading through rugged mountain valleys and scenic backcountry routes. This is real adventure riding: technical enough to keep you focused, scenic enough to make you forget you're working.
Lunch stop: Fomeque, a traditional mountain town where you'll fuel up on authentic Colombian food before the afternoon's highlight.
The main event: Chingaza National Park, where few international travelers venture. We're talking high elevation, cold temperatures (bring layers!), and riding through Colombia's páramos—unique high-altitude ecosystems that exist nowhere else on Earth. There's a reason this is a national park, and you're about to ride straight through it.
Evening arrival: San Juanito, a quiet mountain town in Meta where you'll sleep well after a full day of adventure riding.
Sleep: Mountain accommodation in San Juanito
Day 2: Into the Land of 1,000 Waterfalls
San Juanito → Meta → Ubaque → Secret Overlook → Bogotá • 8 hours of riding • 187km
The day that has it all
Today combines the best of everything Colombia offers: waterfalls, technical off-roading, a secret only locals know, and some of the most satisfying paved riding you'll find anywhere. The riding is perfectly paced, giving you time to soak it all in.
Morning paradise: Into Meta and what locals call "the land of 1,000 waterfalls." They're not exaggerating—waterfalls everywhere you look, left and right, with scenery so beautiful it sounds fictional. This is arguably the prettiest off-road route in Colombia, and virtually no one is going there.
Technical challenge: Off-road loop through to Ubaque. More dirt, more adventure, more stories to tell. You're exploring territory that most adventure riders don't even know exists.
Lunch: Remote village where your arrival might be the most interesting thing that happens all week.
The revelation: Bogotá's best-kept moto secret, that overlook known only to locals and serious riders. We're not spoiling the surprise in the description, but it's the kind of place that immediately goes on your "must bring friends here" list.
The victory lap: A seriously good paved mountain road with the kind of sweeping curves and elevation changes that remind you why motorcycles were invented. Up and over the mountains, back into Bogotá with enough stories and photos to make your friends seriously reconsider their weekend plans.

Fair Warning About Colombian Reality
All riding times and distances are approximate because, well, this is Colombia. Sometimes we cruise faster than expected, sometimes we stop every five minutes for photos because the views are too incredible to pass up. And yes, occasionally Mother Nature decides to redecorate the roads with a landslide, which means we get bonus adventure via creative detours. It's all part of the authentic Colombian motorcycle experience, and honestly, some of our best stories come from the days that didn't go exactly as planned.
